Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 6, 2026 · Last Updated: October 6, 2026

Welcome to Connect-4Care.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Connect-4Care website, marketplace, applications, communications, payment features, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, accessing the Platform, booking or providing services through the Platform, or otherwise using Connect-4Care, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

1. About Connect-4Care

Connect-4Care is a technology marketplace designed to help individuals and families discover, communicate with, book, and pay independent caregivers.

Connect-4Care is not the caregiver and does not itself provide caregiving, nursing, personal care, companion care, transportation, housekeeping, medical treatment, or other in-home care services.

Care services arranged through the Platform ("Care Services") are offered and performed by independent caregivers who use the Platform ("Caregivers").

Care Seekers select the Caregiver with whom they wish to engage based on their own needs, preferences, judgment, and evaluation of information available through the Platform.

Connect-4Care may provide marketplace functions such as identity verification, background-screening tools, profile information, scheduling, messaging, booking, payment processing, ratings, reviews, customer support, and other features intended to facilitate connections between users.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, avoid, or modify any obligation imposed on Connect-4Care or any user under applicable federal, state, or local law.

2. Definitions

"Connect-4Care," "Company," "we," "us," or "our" means Connect-4Care and its applicable affiliates.

"Platform" means the Connect-4Care website, technology, marketplace, payment functionality, communications tools, booking tools, and related services.

"Caregiver" means an independent individual who creates a profile or uses the Platform to offer Care Services.

"Care Seeker" means an individual who uses the Platform to search for, communicate with, or book a Caregiver.

"Care Recipient" means the individual receiving Care Services. A Care Seeker and Care Recipient may be the same person but do not have to be.

"Care Services" means services independently offered and performed by Caregivers through or in connection with the Platform.

"User" or "you" means any individual accessing or using the Platform, including Care Seekers and Caregivers.

3. Eligibility and Authority

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to create a Connect-4Care account.

If you arrange Care Services on behalf of another person, you represent that you have appropriate authority or permission to make arrangements on that person's behalf.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating and maintaining your account.

You may not create an account using false information, impersonate another person, or create an account on behalf of someone else without appropriate authorization.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your username, password, verification codes, and other account credentials.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless you promptly notify Connect-4Care that your account has been compromised.

You agree to notify Connect-4Care promptly of unauthorized use of your account or any suspected security breach.

Connect-4Care may require users to verify their identity, contact information, payment information, or other information before accessing certain Platform features.

5. The Connect-4Care Marketplace

5.1 Independent Caregivers

Caregivers using Connect-4Care are independent users of the Platform.

Except where otherwise required by applicable law, Caregivers are not employees of Connect-4Care.

Connect-4Care does not control the day-to-day manner or method in which independent Caregivers perform Care Services.

Caregivers are responsible for determining whether they are legally qualified and permitted to provide the services they offer.

Where licensing, certification, training, insurance, registration, or other professional qualifications are legally required for a particular activity, the Caregiver is responsible for maintaining those qualifications.

Nothing in this section limits any obligation Connect-4Care itself may have under applicable law.

5.2 No Guarantee of Engagement

Connect-4Care does not guarantee that:

  • a Care Seeker will find a suitable Caregiver;

  • a Caregiver will receive bookings;

  • a particular Caregiver will be available;

  • a booking request will be accepted;

  • a Caregiver will meet every requested skill, experience, availability, personality, location, or language preference; or

  • Care Services will be available in every geographic location.

5.3 User Choice

Care Seekers are responsible for evaluating Caregivers and deciding whom to hire.

Profile information, verification features, background-check indicators, ratings, reviews, interviews, messaging tools, or other Platform information are intended to assist with this decision but are not guarantees of suitability or future conduct.

6. Caregiver Responsibilities

Caregivers agree to:

  1. provide truthful and current profile information;

  2. accurately describe their experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, availability, and services;

  3. provide only services they are legally permitted and reasonably qualified to perform;

  4. maintain any license, certification, insurance, driver's license, or other qualification required for services they choose to offer;

  5. communicate honestly regarding their availability and capabilities;

  6. arrive as agreed for confirmed bookings;

  7. treat Care Recipients, families, homes, property, and personal information respectfully;

  8. comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws; and

  9. immediately notify the appropriate person or emergency authority if an emergency or unsafe condition occurs.

Caregivers may not represent themselves as employees, agents, nurses, medical providers, or representatives of Connect-4Care unless expressly authorized to do so.

Caregivers are responsible for their own tax obligations, business expenses, insurance obligations, licensing requirements, and other legal obligations arising from their independent provision of Care Services.

Connect-4Care may provide tax documentation when required by applicable law.

7. Care Seeker Responsibilities

Care Seekers agree to provide accurate information concerning the requested Care Services and any circumstances reasonably necessary for a Caregiver to evaluate whether the booking is appropriate.

Care Seekers are responsible for:

  • selecting the Caregiver;

  • communicating the Care Recipient's needs;

  • identifying known safety concerns;

  • communicating mobility or accessibility needs;

  • providing accurate booking dates, times, and locations;

  • providing reasonable access to the location where services will occur;

  • identifying household conditions that could materially affect Caregiver safety;

  • securing animals when reasonably necessary;

  • providing necessary supplies or equipment unless otherwise agreed; and

  • ensuring the services requested are lawful and appropriate.

A Care Seeker may not knowingly request that a Caregiver perform services outside the Caregiver's lawful scope of practice or professional qualifications.

8. Bookings

A booking request is not a guarantee of service.

Unless otherwise indicated by the Platform, a booking is considered confirmed after the Caregiver accepts the request and any required payment authorization or other booking requirements have been completed.

The Care Seeker and Caregiver are responsible for reviewing:

  • dates;

  • start and end times;

  • service location;

  • requested services;

  • agreed rates;

  • special instructions; and

  • other material booking information

before confirming the booking.

Connect-4Care may send reminders or notifications relating to bookings as a convenience but is not responsible for a user's failure to receive or respond to a notification.

9. Payments and Platform Fees

9.1 Platform Payments

Payments for bookings made through Connect-4Care must be processed using payment methods approved by the Platform unless Connect-4Care expressly permits otherwise.

Connect-4Care may use one or more third-party payment processors to facilitate payments and payouts.

By submitting payment information, you authorize Connect-4Care and its payment-processing providers to charge or process amounts associated with your bookings and applicable fees.

9.2 Fees

Connect-4Care may charge Care Seekers, Caregivers, or both a Platform or service fee.

Applicable rates and fees will be disclosed through the Platform before a transaction is completed or as otherwise required by law.

Fees may change from time to time. Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.

9.3 Caregiver Payouts

Caregiver payouts are subject to successful payment collection, payment-processor requirements, identity verification, fraud-prevention procedures, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and applicable law.

Payout timing shown by the Platform represents anticipated processing timing and is not guaranteed when delays occur through banks, card networks, third-party payment processors, fraud reviews, or circumstances outside Connect-4Care's reasonable control.

9.4 Taxes

Users are responsible for determining and satisfying their own tax obligations arising from use of the Platform or provision or receipt of Care Services.

Connect-4Care may collect, report, withhold, or remit taxes when required by law.

10. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

10.1 Care Seeker Cancellations

Unless a different cancellation rule is clearly disclosed before booking:

More than 24 hours before the scheduled start time:

A Care Seeker who cancels more than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled service start time is eligible for a full refund of the applicable booking payment, subject to any exceptions required or permitted by law.

Within 24 hours of the scheduled start time:

A cancellation made within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled service may be subject to a cancellation fee. Any applicable cancellation fee will be disclosed through the Platform or applicable cancellation policy.

10.2 Caregiver Cancellations

Caregivers should cancel confirmed bookings only when reasonably necessary and should provide as much notice as possible.

If a Caregiver cancels a confirmed booking before providing the scheduled services, the Care Seeker will not be charged for Care Services that were not performed.

Connect-4Care may attempt to assist a Care Seeker in locating another available Caregiver but does not guarantee replacement coverage.

Repeated or inappropriate cancellations may result in restrictions, suspension, or removal from the Platform.

10.3 Rescheduling

Bookings may be rescheduled by agreement between the applicable users and subject to Caregiver availability and Platform functionality.

Changes to dates, times, or services may change the booking price.

10.4 No-Shows and Disputes

Connect-4Care may establish additional policies regarding Caregiver or Care Seeker no-shows, shortened bookings, late arrivals, payment disputes, refunds, and booking adjustments.

Connect-4Care reserves the right to review available Platform information when considering a payment or refund dispute.

11. Background Checks, Identity Verification, and Badges

Connect-4Care may make background-screening and identity-verification features available to Caregivers.

A background check or verification is not a guarantee that a Caregiver is safe, appropriate, qualified, trustworthy, or free from past or future misconduct.

Background checks generally reflect information available from specified databases or sources at a particular point in time. Records may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or subsequently changed.

11.1 "Verified Background Check"

A "Verified Background Check" badge means that Connect-4Care or a designated third-party screening provider facilitated or obtained a background screening for that Caregiver in accordance with Connect-4Care's then-current screening process.

The badge does not mean that Connect-4Care guarantees the Caregiver's suitability or future conduct.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a Verified Background Check does not necessarily mean that continuous or ongoing monitoring is occurring after the screening date.

11.2 "Background Check Provided"

A "Background Check Provided" badge means that a Caregiver supplied background-check documentation or information for consideration through the Platform.

A Background Check Provided badge is different from a Verified Background Check.

Unless Connect-4Care expressly states otherwise, Connect-4Care does not represent that a caregiver- provided report was independently ordered by Connect-4Care or that every piece of information within an uploaded report has been independently verified.

11.3 Additional Evaluation

Care Seekers should use their own judgment when selecting a Caregiver and may choose to:

  • communicate with the Caregiver;

  • conduct an interview;

  • request references;

  • review credentials;

  • verify licenses or certifications where applicable; and

  • discuss experience relevant to the Care Recipient's needs.

Connect-4Care reserves the right to change its verification and screening procedures in accordance with applicable law.

12. Care Services and Scope-of-Practice Limitations

Caregivers may offer different categories of assistance depending on their qualifications and applicable law.

The availability of a category through the Platform does not mean that every Caregiver is qualified or legally authorized to provide every service within that category.

Caregivers must not provide nursing, medical, medication-administration, skilled clinical, or other regulated services unless they possess any license, authorization, supervision, training, or qualification required by applicable law.

Care Seekers must not ask Caregivers to perform services outside their lawful scope of practice.

Connect-4Care does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, nursing supervision, or clinical decision-making through the Platform unless expressly stated otherwise.

Information appearing on the Platform is not a substitute for advice from an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.

13. Emergencies

CONNECT-4CARE IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE.

Do not use Connect-4Care messages, customer support, or the Platform to obtain emergency medical assistance.

If you believe a Care Recipient, Caregiver, or another person is experiencing a medical or safety emergency, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service immediately.

Users should not delay contacting emergency services while attempting to contact Connect-4Care.

14. Transportation and Outings

Some Caregivers may independently agree to provide transportation or accompany Care Recipients on errands, appointments, social activities, or other outings where permitted by law.

If a Caregiver uses a motor vehicle, that Caregiver is responsible for maintaining any driver's license, vehicle registration, insurance, or other requirements applicable to that transportation.

Care Seekers are responsible for determining whether they are comfortable permitting a Care Recipient to ride with a particular Caregiver.

Connect-4Care does not own, inspect, maintain, insure, or control independently owned vehicles used by Caregivers unless expressly stated otherwise.

15. Property and Access to the Home

Care Services may require Caregivers to enter a private residence or access personal property.

Users are responsible for making reasonable decisions regarding keys, entry codes, alarm codes, valuables, medications, financial information, and other sensitive property or information.

Caregivers may use access information only for the purpose for which it was provided.

Unauthorized copying, retention, disclosure, or use of keys, entry codes, financial information, or other private information is prohibited.

16. User Conduct

Users may not use Connect-4Care to:

  • violate any law or regulation;

  • engage in fraud or deception;

  • impersonate another person or organization;

  • provide materially false information;

  • harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, exploit, or discriminate unlawfully against another person;

  • engage in theft or intentional property damage;

  • solicit or participate in illegal activity;

  • compromise another user's account or privacy;

  • upload malware or malicious code;

  • interfere with the security or operation of the Platform;

  • improperly collect or use another user's personal information;

  • manipulate reviews or verification systems;

  • use the Platform in a manner that creates an unreasonable safety risk; or

  • encourage another person to violate these Terms.

Connect-4Care may investigate reported violations and may take action including warnings, booking restrictions, account suspension, account termination, payment holds where permitted, or referral to appropriate authorities.

17. Off-Platform Transactions

Connect-4Care invests in technology, screening features, payments, communications, customer support, safety tools, and other services that enable users to connect.

Users may not intentionally use the Platform to identify or connect with another user and then improperly move a resulting booking off the Platform for the purpose of avoiding applicable Connect-4Care fees or requirements.

Transactions conducted outside Connect-4Care may not be eligible for Platform payment protections, support, records, dispute assistance, or other features.

18. Communications and Text Messages

By providing a telephone number or email address, you agree that Connect-4Care may send communications reasonably related to your account and use of the Platform, including:

  • identity or security verification;

  • booking confirmations;

  • booking changes;

  • Caregiver or Care Seeker messages;

  • payment notices;

  • account notices;

  • customer-support communications; and

  • other transactional communications.

Where required by law, promotional or marketing communications will be subject to separate consent and applicable opt-out rights.

Message and data rates may apply.

You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information associated with your account is accurate.

19. Ratings and Reviews

Connect-4Care may allow users to submit ratings, reviews, feedback, photographs, profile information, or other content.

Users agree that content they submit will be truthful, based on their genuine experience where applicable, and will not knowingly be defamatory, fraudulent, unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, or infringe another person's rights.

You retain ownership of content you create, but by submitting content to the Platform you grant Connect-4Care a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, format, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, promote, and protect the Platform, subject to applicable privacy law.

Connect-4Care may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable policies.

20. Privacy

Use of Connect-4Care is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy describes how Connect-4Care collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.

Users should avoid sharing sensitive medical, financial, login, or other confidential information through Platform communications unless reasonably necessary and appropriate.

Caregivers who receive personal information concerning a Care Recipient must use that information only as reasonably necessary to perform the applicable Care Services and must protect it from unauthorized use or disclosure.

21. Third-Party Services

Connect-4Care may rely on third-party providers for payment processing, identity verification, background checks, communications, mapping, hosting, analytics, or other Platform functions.

Those services may also be governed by the third party's own terms or privacy policies.

Connect-4Care is not responsible for outages, delays, errors, or actions of independent third-party services beyond the extent required by applicable law.

22. Intellectual Property

The Connect-4Care Platform and its proprietary content—including trademarks, logos, branding, text, graphics, designs, software, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Connect-4Care and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except as expressly permitted, users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Connect-4Care intellectual property without prior written authorization.

“Connect-4Care” and associated logos and branding may not be used in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement, employment, partnership, or affiliation.

23. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

CONNECT-4CARE DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION.

CONNECT-4CARE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL:

  • BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES;

  • BE ERROR-FREE;

  • BE COMPLETELY SECURE;

  • MEET EVERY USER'S REQUIREMENTS;

  • RESULT IN A SUCCESSFUL CAREGIVER MATCH;

  • PREVENT MISCONDUCT BY USERS; OR

  • IDENTIFY EVERY PIECE OF RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT A USER.

CONNECT-4CARE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, SAFETY, SUITABILITY, RELIABILITY, QUALIFICATIONS, CONDUCT, OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY CAREGIVER OR CARE SEEKER.

USERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN COMMUNICATIONS, INTERACTIONS, SELECTIONS, AND DECISIONS REGARDING OTHER USERS.

No oral or written information provided by Connect-4Care creates a warranty unless expressly stated in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be waived.

24. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CONNECT-4CARE AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO:

  • USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM;

  • INTERACTIONS BETWEEN USERS;

  • CARE SERVICES PROVIDED OR NOT PROVIDED BY A CAREGIVER;

  • PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED BY AN INDEPENDENT USER;

  • THEFT, MISCONDUCT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF A USER;

  • LOSS OF DATA;

  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCOUNT ACCESS;

  • THIRD-PARTY SERVICES; OR

  • PLATFORM INTERRUPTIONS

EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT SUCH LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONNECT-4CARE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE PLATFORM FEES PAID BY YOU DIRECTLY TO CONNECT-4CARE DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

25. Disputes Between Users

Connect-4Care may, but is not obligated to, assist users in communicating about a booking, payment, review, or other dispute.

Connect-4Care is not a party to the underlying Care Services relationship between a Care Seeker and independent Caregiver except with respect to Connect-4Care's own Platform obligations.

Connect-4Care does not have an obligation to adjudicate private disputes between users.

Nothing prevents Connect-4Care from taking action regarding accounts, transactions, or Platform access when Connect-4Care reasonably believes action is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent fraud, protect the Platform, or comply with law.

26. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Connect-4Care and its affiliates, owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and service providers from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or relating to:

  1. your violation of these Terms;

  2. your unlawful use of the Platform;

  3. content or information you submit;

  4. your violation of another person's rights;

  5. Care Services you provide or request;

  6. your negligence, misconduct, or unlawful acts; or

  7. your failure to comply with applicable licensing, tax, insurance, employment, professional, or regulatory obligations.

This section does not require a user to indemnify Connect-4Care for conduct for which indemnification cannot lawfully be required.

These obligations survive termination of your account where permitted by law.

27. Suspension and Termination

Connect-4Care may restrict, suspend, deactivate, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary, including when we believe a user:

  • violated these Terms;

  • created a safety concern;

  • provided fraudulent or materially inaccurate information;

  • misused payment systems;

  • engaged in unlawful conduct;

  • repeatedly failed to honor confirmed bookings;

  • attempted to evade Platform protections or fees;

  • misused another person's information;

  • failed verification requirements; or

  • created legal, financial, reputational, or security risk to the Platform or its users.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, Connect-4Care may investigate before taking action.

Users may discontinue use of the Platform at any time, subject to outstanding bookings, payment obligations, disputes, or other obligations that survive termination.

28. Force Majeure

Connect-4Care will not be responsible for delay or failure in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • natural disasters;

  • severe weather;

  • fire;

  • flood;

  • epidemic or pandemic;

  • war;

  • terrorism;

  • civil disturbance;

  • government action;

  • labor disruption;

  • internet outages;

  • electrical outages;

  • telecommunications failures;

  • third-party service interruptions;

  • banking or payment-network failures; or

  • other events beyond Connect-4Care's reasonable control.

29. Changes to the Platform or Terms

Connect-4Care may modify Platform functionality or these Terms from time to time.

When required by law, we will provide notice of material changes.

The updated Terms will identify their effective or last-updated date.

Continued use of the Platform after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by law.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the Platform.

30. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and disputes arising from them will be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a legal action against Connect-4Care, you agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute by contacting Connect-4Care and providing sufficient information for us to evaluate the concern.

Unless prohibited by applicable law, legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the Georgia county in which Connect-4Care maintains its principal place of business.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking immediate injunctive or other emergency relief where legally appropriate.

31. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent legally permissible or severed if necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

32. No Waiver

Connect-4Care's failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

33. Assignment

Users may not transfer or assign their rights or obligations under these Terms without Connect-4Care's prior written consent.

Connect-4Care may assign its rights or obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, financing, or other lawful business transaction.

34. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies, disclosures, or additional terms expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and Connect-4Care regarding use of the Platform.

Specific programs or Platform features may be subject to additional terms disclosed before use.
