On-demand care for home care means that personal assistance can be accessed quickly, often with little to no advance scheduling, through in-home visits. This model provides immediate or flexible access to care, which includes visits for non-emergency issues and/or house calls from healthcare professionals or certified caregivers for assistance with daily activities. 

Long-term care for home care means providing ongoing medical or non-medical assistance to individuals in their own homes when they are unable to perform basic activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, or eating. This can include personal care, meal preparation, medication management, housekeeping, and companionship for a chronic illness, disability, or advanced age. This is different from short-term care, which is typically covered by traditional health insurance or Medicare, and is designed for long-term support rather than acute medical needs.

This service is especially vital for seniors and people with disabilities, enabling them to maintain their independence, stay connected to their communities, and access necessary healthcare.
